The Abolitionists: Connecting to Local History
Vermont historians make local connections to Public Broadcasting’s The Abolitionists. Program includes excerpts from the American Experience series, panelists Jane Williamson, historian and Rokeby Museum director, and Kevin Thornton, historian and UVM professor who has researched a significant group of abolitionists in Brandon, Vermont, and audience discussion. Program takes place in Rokeby Museum's new Underground Railroad Education Center - the premiere abolitionist history site in Vermont.
